In the year 2002, the Government of Gujarat took an initiative to bring all the Universities and its affiliated self-financing institutions running Master of Business Administration (MBA) course on a single platform and launched an idea of having Common Entrance Test for MBA run by all Universities of Gujarat. All the Universities across the state accepted this innovative idea and the Gujarat Common Entrance Test (GCET) are (a) To select candidates for admissions to this highly coveted post-graduate course on uniform standards across the state Universities and (b) To make the process student friendly in terms of offering opportunities to access the large number of professional institutions at minimum cost of time, money and efforts.
All the Universities and its affiliating self-financing institutions are covered by GCET for the admission process. A list of institutions running MBA course is given below with their intake capacity.
